There's no clear answer.
Each source of research tells a different story. Every industry will be unique to it's people and their preferences.
Our research suggests that employees want a good mix, e.g. hybrid. But in the case of Manchester United that was previously cited, and the email activity dropping drastically on a Friday – sometimes just one day at home isn't an option for business leaders.
So the onus is on the business. HR will need to understand what is working best and what to change. But what about those just entering the workforce? What do they want?
