Fire Risk Assessment

Overview

A fire risk assessment is a review undertaken of a building in order to assess the risk of fire. It will also identify the general fire precautions the responsible person needs to take to ensure that all has been done to reduce both hazard and risk to a level that is low as reasonably practicable.

It is a legal requirement for all non-domestic premises to have an up-to-date, suitable and sufficient fire risk assessment.

Here at Moorepay, we will perform a Type 1 Fire Risk Assessment that will include;

The identification of fire hazards & ignitions sources.
An assessment of fire prevention measures currently in place.
An evaluation of emergency procedures & evacuation plans.

Fire Warden / Marshal Training

Course overview

Completion of this course will allow an employee to fulfil the role of a Fire Warden within their organisation.

Employers are required to provide a suitable number of Fire Wardens so that in the event of a fire, all areas of a building under their control can be evacuated safely and efficiently, thus reducing the risk posed to all occupants such as employees, contractors, visitors and members of the public.

Designed to ensure that all delegates are provided with the knowledge and information they will need to perform this role and ensure legal compliance for the owner / occupier of the premises.

Who Needs to Attend?

Any employee who has volunteered or has been selected to be a Fire Warden / Marshal.

Learning Outcomes

Upon completion the delegate will :-

Understand the responsibilities of a Fire Warden / Marshal.
Understand how big a problem fire is within the UK.
Understand the causes of ignition.
Understand how fire spreads and to prevent this.
Understand the employers legal duties.

Course overview

It is estimated that manual handling accounts for in excess of 20% of all non fatal work related injuries.

As an employer, you must protect your workers from the risk of injury associated with hazardous manual handling. This course will lay the foundations to help reduce the number of incidents of Musculoskeletal Diseases (MSD’s) and reduce the likelihood of injury to employees and increasing productivity through absence avoidance.

Display Screen Equipment Assessor Training

Course overview

Using Display Screen Equipment (DSE) is a low risk activity that can cause issues due to do poor posture and bad practices.

This course will lay the foundations to help you to reduce the number of incidents of Work Related Upper Limb Disorder (WRULD's) associated with extended and incorrect DSE usage by providing you with the understanding to be able to identify bad practices and be able to suggest remedial actions.
